Matthew Robert Payne was born into a Christian family and as a child, attended a traditional Baptist church with a strong focus on the Word of God. At the age of 8, he gave his life to Jesus and attended church every Sunday morning and evening until he was seventeen.
Matthew was abused at 14 and this caused him a lot of trauma which resulted in some very dark years of addiction and a season away from church and God. Throughout all those years in the wilderness of faith, Jesus proved to be a faithful friend
At 27, Matthew was introduced to a Pentecostal church and enjoyed the vibrant life he saw there. In a vision, Jesus instructed Matthew to be baptized in water, and came out of the water baptized in the Holy Spirit.Within a week, while praying for his ex-wife, Matthew began to speak in tongues. However, Matthew had conversations with Jesusfor years before he was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Through the years, Jesus led him to give people messages from God as he drove his taxi and picked up passengers. Although he had the gift of prophecy, he did not realize it until he went to the Pentecostal church and learned that he was operating in a spiritual gift.
Over the past 20 years, Matthew has developed the gift of sharing messages from God with people. Today, through another website, Matthew ministers prophetically to people for a donation. At church and in the community, Matthew also ministers prophetically as he is led by the Holy Spirit without charging. Matthew estimates that he has prophesied about 10,000 times to Christians and about 10,000 times to strangers on the streets of Sydney, Australia, through prophetic evangelism.
Matthew spends most of his days communicating on Facebook and writing books. In the past year, he has written and self-published about 10 books. You can go to the books page to see the books that he has produced, and you can go to the support page to see how you can support Matthew in his book writing ministry.
Matthew lives a supernatural life and walked under what people might describe as an “open heaven” where he regularly meets angels, Jesus and saints from heaven in visions. He coversthese subjects in some of his books.
Matthew is single, resides in Sydney, Australia, and has a grown son, Brandyn.
